i played it in my car. it didn't sound that bad to me. but yeah the original actual version would be nice.

I just IM'd Mooncricket to find out info on that track - he claims to not be able to remember the artist/title and that all his music is on a drive that crashed. hmmmm

I'm thinking its on the Fania Records, Joe Bataan tip... it is a dope track.

And Mooncricket told me to send him a myspace message asking for info again and that he would do some research and get back to me...

i don't think it's remixed at all. it's a funk track.. like an afro funk latinish type of funk. i think the one playing on that rocker's sampler vid may be the 12" version.

i did PM Mooncricket on Youtube but he never got back to me. word up thanks for getting in touch with him conspirotus.

Yeah - no prob - From his youtube spot I found his justin.tv link and he was online with a cam/IM thing this evening.

OK - I was way off thinking Fania Records. I've been a savant on a mission with this. Thank you Google!
Here we go - The group is Osibisa and they are from Ghana the title is Fire. There are several live versions, too. I'm trying to track down an MP3 next.

Here's the scoop Loafy - I googled in quotes various lyrics from the song. Finally after mad searching (and frustration with all of the results for a Lindsay Lohan song called Play With Fire) I came across someone's narrative of a trip to Ghana. They wrote about attending an Osibisa concert where the crowd was chanting, "Fire Will Burn You" during the performance of a song called Fire.

I then went to amazon.com and looked up Osibisa and searched their albums for the song. Then of course googled Osibisa Happy Children Blogspot and came up with Bigdaf's site!
